Protesting and combatting rising authoritarian practices--and the human rights abuses they cause and enable-- is key to preserving human rights, particularly in the political moment we are in. We want AIUSA members to resist authoritarian practices and human rights violations. Please look for local opportunities to protest (or even organize your own), and contact your AIUSA staff point person with information and questions so we can help guide you. 
 
As Amnesty International USA, we offer guidance based on our policies and issues. We cannot advise on the physical/mental/emotional safety for our members. We can, however, provide you with resources from other organizations that are both aligned and better suited to address the concerns.
